Director of Nursing



Elize de Bod is an accomplished healthcare executive with over 42 years of leadership experience in nursing, across multiple countries and hospital departments. 

She currently serves as the Director of Nursing at this hospital, a position she has held since 2017. 
 
Elize's impressive career began with her service in the South African military, where she received the prestigious Surgeon General award of the South African Medical Services (SAMS) as the best candidate for both theory and practical nursing.

This early recognition propelled her into a long and fruitful career in nursing, which has taken her to serve in various countries, including Libya, Saudi Arabia, and Botswana.

She is a registered nurse, midwife, occupational health and community health nurse as well as a private nurse practitioner.
 
Elize has served in leadership roles in well-established international hospitals in various departments, including cardiac, surgical, and orthopedic. 

She brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to her role as Director of Nursing, having earned an MBA in Business Administration and a Master's in International Healthcare, both with cum laude distinctions, from the  Swiss Business School in Zurich, Switzerland. 

Elize is a member of the nursing board of representatives for private hospitals at the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland (RCSI). 

She is extremely passionate and focused on improving patient experience, empowering nurses to strive for excellence and deliver the highest quality of care. 

Elize's leadership and experience in nursing make her a valuable asset to the hospital, as it seeks to improve patient care, staff satisfaction, and overall operational efficiency.
