HRH the Crown Prince conferred the C3 Leadership Award

The C3 Leadership Award 2021 was presented to HRH Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander and Prime Minister, Kingdom of Bahrain, at the 11th Annual C3 US-Arab Healthcare and Business Summit, held in New York, on Monday, 21 September 2021.

As an avenue to cementing bilateral relations, the C3 Leadership Award recognizes the importance of an individual's initiatives and interests based on “social and commercial diplomacy,” and thereby making an invaluable, enduring contribution to both their country and global community.

Receiving the award, on behalf of Bahrain's leader, the Ambassador of Bahrain to the USA His Excellency Shaikh Abdullah bin Rashid Al Khalifa said that His Royal Highness has always committed himself to the promotion of peace, and to the propagation of humanitarian living conditions for everyone, within and beyond Bahrain’s borders.

The award was presented by Dr George Cheriyan, the Corporate CEO and Chief Medical Officer of American Mission Hospital Bahrain at this C3 Summit which tackles the current state of the global healthcare sector and explores trends and issues impacting healthcare providers, governments, payers, patients, and other stakeholders.

The keynote address, at the event, “Lessons Learned From Confronting Pandemics Globally and COVID19 Domestically” was given by Dr. Deborah L. Birx, the White House Coronavirus Task Force (retired), and a former diplomat herself.

She received the C3 2021 Humanitarian Award, for her role in healthcare which also included being the U.S. Global AIDS Coordinator for presidents Barack Obama and Donald Trump.


The C3 Summit 'Davos of Healthcare'  is scheduled to be held in Bahrain 20-21 April 2024
