Developmental Unit for Children with Special Needs

The Developmental Unit for Children with Special Needs has been set up to help children who are differently abled and their parents

As an extension of our pediatric department services, it facilitates assessments of children's abilities. And prescribes, if needed, early intervention methods, or specific therapies for behavioural development.

It is also an Activity Centre, where children with special needs can come and spend time, under the supervision of trained specialists.

At AMH’s Saar clinic, the Developmental Unit is already operational with a team of professionals, who are bringing unique experience and expertise  to help those who are differently abled.

On 1 December 2022, the Deputy Chief of Mission of the US Embassy David P Brownstein opened the Developmental Unit, with Julia Tovey, the Group CEO of the American Mission Hospital.
